Riding your e-bike safely

It is great that e-bikes are becoming popular and more are seen on the road.

However when you get your e-bike don't get over excited, and please remember to behave with safety in mind.

A dead e-bike rider is no good to me, they don't buy much from my store.

I suggest that you:

Comply with UK rules regarding e-bikes
Use lights and wear reflective clothing so others can see you
Obey the highway code
Maintain your e-bike (brakes, tires, chain etc)
Don't try to open the battery and make a repair: Ask an expert
Don't ride under the influence of drugs or alcohol
Don't overload your e-bike
Ride courteously and with common sense
WEAR A HELMET

The most important thing to remember is you are solely responsible for your safety and liable for any adverse affect you cause. You are responsible for keeping your bike maintained. You are responsible for ensuring you ride your bike safely and ride within the rules.
